Data we collect

We collect account data such as name, email, password hash and preferred language. We also collect daily test answers, diary notes, activity completions, Happy Score history, badges, streaks, community messages and technical session data required for login and security

Data you choose to write

Diary notes and community messages are written by the user. HappyMeter is not designed for clinical records, medical documents or sensitive health information. Users should avoid entering medical details, third party personal data or information they do not want to store in the app

Why we use data

Data is used to provide the service, save progress, calculate scores, generate personal insights, keep the chat moderated, protect accounts, prevent abuse, send essential emails and improve reliability

Legal basis

The main legal bases are performance of the requested service, consent where required, legitimate interest for security and technical continuity, and legal obligations where applicable

Service emails

HappyMeter may send transactional emails from info@happymeter.it, including welcome emails, password reset messages and important account notices. These are not marketing emails

Community and moderation

Community messages may be visible to other visitors. Registered users can write in the chat. Administrators may hide messages, moderate content and suspend accounts when needed to protect the service and other users

Hosting and providers

The app may rely on hosting, database, email and infrastructure providers that process data only to run the service. Data is not sold and no advertising tracking is active

Retention

Account and journal data is stored while the account remains active or until deletion is requested. Password reset tokens expire and are stored only in hashed form. Technical logs may be retained for security and troubleshooting for a limited time

Your rights

You can request access, correction, deletion, export, restriction or objection where applicable by contacting the privacy address. You may also request account deletion and removal of content linked to your profile

Cookies and local storage

Session cookies keep login active. Local storage and lightweight cookies remember language and welcome preferences. More detail is available in the Cookie Policy

Non medical nature

HappyMeter is not a medical tool, does not make diagnoses and does not replace healthcare professionals. It is an interactive journal for observing habits, emotions and daily wellbeing
